Kyle D. Bilafer
Kyle brings tremendous experience to Fortius Capital Partners in the areas of construction and property management. He is passionate about managing resources effectively and efficiently, and ensuring that buildings are designed, constructed, and managed for long-term value and utility.
Prior to joining the firm, Kyle spent 16 years in Cabarrus County, NC, government holding the positions of Assistant County Manager and Director of Infrastructure and Asset Management. There he supervised 1.7 mm SF and managed the design and construction/renovations of 700,000 SF in Cabarrus County, managing team members and vendors from project inception to completion. During his tenure at the County, his responsibilities included the growth and management of County assets with an emphasis on logistically and financially sound decision-making.
Prior to his work in local government, Kyle spent five years at Tyson Foods in maintenance, safety, and environmental roles. As Environmental and Wastewater Manager, he managed all environmental permit compliance at eight facilities at the Monroe, NC, complex, as well as oversaw the operations of a pre-treatment wastewater facility. In addition, he served as Assistant Maintenance Manager of Fresh Processing, focusing on corporate maintenance, and assisting with capital projects and maintenance process improvement, based on total cost of ownership and Six Sigma principles.
